The only thing I can think of is to ask your travel agent to call RCL's Customer Service dept. and ask but I doubt they would know. They (Cust. Service) may refer the t.a. to a person who handles such things specifically for the SOS.

I don't know how to find this out, but from what I recall they do offer children's television channels and movies...however, I hope your 7 yr tries the RCCL Children's programs and play areas. RCI really does a good job with this. Don't know specifically about the SOS though.
I would be curious to hear how your 7 year old enjoyed the trip. I have a 9 & 4 year that I've been debating on taking on a cruise. I'm sure they can't appreciate it like we can, but I don't know how much they would like it.
She went on her first cruise last fall and had a ball. It was a Disney cruise and she loved her "club". She is really hoping that RCI's is as much fun, I had to pry her out of the Disney clubs to spend time with us. They do have a movie theater onboard SOS, don't they? I'll let you know how she faired when we return. Thanks for your reply and you too Denise!
We've taken our kids on 4 cruise so far, with the 5th coming up this July on the AOS. Your question is a good one, because there is 'down' time with the kids' programs AND there are times when your kids just won't want to participate in the activities. Also, the movies at night help the kids unwind a bit from all the excitement in the kids' club.
One thing about RCI's kids movies and cartoons is that they continually re-run them (over and over and over). We had all the Bugs Bunny cartoons memorized after the first couple days. They kids would listen and/or watch the cartoons while we got ready for dinner.
I wouldn't hesitate to take your kids on a cruise at all! They are the BEST family vacations you can ever imagine. Our 2 sons (now (9 & 12 yrs.) first cruised when they were 7 & 9 yrs. They have loved them and can't wait for the next one. They've seen more places than we would have seen if we had taken a vacation to one destination. They've met kids from all over the world and learned SO much.
One thing I would recommend is to have your kids bring along some small toys to play with while on the cruise. Our sons missed their action figures. If you just bring 1 or 2, it helps.
Bring your kids on your cruise - you won't be sorry and you'll be starting the next generation of cruise lovers!
