I'm soooooo excited!

My girlfriend and I just booked the Radiance leaving on March 23rd, 2002.
Last year sailing on the Ocean Princess we were able to bring booze on board and drink it in public. Nothing was better than opening a bottle of wine and drinking it in the hot tub or strolling around the deck.
Is this allowed on RCI?
Also the pools were open 24 hours. We would go to the disco and then go swimming. I thought I read somewhere that RCI pools close at 5:00pm. Does anyone know if thats the case?

Hi Jt,
Things have definately changed since 9-11, almost all the cruiselines have restricted their alchol policies, so it is difficult to bring onboard, but we were just on Golden Princess and were able to bring beer onboard, so you may not have a problem with some wine, but be careful. A lot of cruisers are just packing in their checked luggage and not carry-on. You are correct about the pools and hot tubs on RCCL, they do close earlier than on Princess. One of the nice features of cruising on Princess, the pools and tubs are open much later. So, I'd do your swimming during the day

We did see Radiance in port in St. Maarten a few weeks ago, and she's one nice looking ship, bet you will have a great time, enjoy!

I just returned from tne Soverign and the pool was open 24 hours. We did carry a bottle of wine onboard in our checked luggage. with no problem. You can buy alcohol onboard but they charge you a $9.95 fee. ENJOY your cruise!!!!
