Default Miami Hotel

Travelling on Voyager in January and would like advice on nice hotel in Miami area on or near the beach that is not too expensive.

Also, what is the difference between Superior Balcony room and Deluxe Balcony room on Voyager, if any? Any other helpful info on Voyager you can provide would be helpful. Feel free to "ramble" in your reply. All info is appreciated. Thanks.

We stayed at the Eden Roc Hotel and would not recommend it. The Hilton down the street called Fountain Blue Hilton is much better and we ended up there.Tons of water stuff to do and if you have kids they have a lazy river on the property besides all the other pools.Service was nice and it is a nice Hotel. The hotels are all right on the ocean and we took advantage of renting two wave runners with the kids and we loved it.Enjoy!

Thanks for the info Sue. Do you mind if I ask what rate you paid, what date you stayed there and how you booked it? Thanks.

The Hilton is over $289 a night. The Eden Roc is under $200 a night. We live in Florida so we are able to get Florida resident rates which are cheaper then our AAA rates! We save most times well over $100. Someone on the message board was talking about a hotel right next to the Port and they said it was nice. Can't remember the name
In any case, have a blast

We stayed at the Blue Moon Hotel last November for a couple of days before embarking on a cruise on the Grandeur.

We liked the design of both the hotel and the room had some very interesting features.

It is in the art deco district on Collins avenue one block from the beach.

We found the hotel on the 'All Miami Hotels Guide' site but booked directly with the hotel at a rate of $125 per night.
