My family and I are going on Explorer of the Seas 6/8/02 and I was wondering, as I"ve never been on RCCL, do they charge for Johnny Rockets, Rock Climbing and Ice Skating, or are these included in your ticket price. Just curious as to any "hidden" expenses I need to plan for. I have 2 teens ages 12 & 15.
We will be joining you on the Explorer on 6/8. My kids are older, but have agreed to join us on this cruise. I know you will love it. Reading these boards I have noticed that there will be many kids onboard the same ages as yours, so no doubt they will have a blast.
I have overnighted on the Explorer and it is a real neat ship, and as Kuki as said before me all the acrivities you asked about are FREE.
Any questionsm just e-mail me, and I will be glad to help.
In Johnny Rockets, you pay for drinks & floats/malts. The food is free/included.
Rock climbing, ice skating, putt putt, and inlining is free.
Check into Soda Cards for your teenagers. If they drink a lot of soda, this will pay back in multiples (Soda is only included for free at dinner to the best of my recollection).
Onboard Explorer of the Seas and her two sister ships there is no charge for rock climbing and golf. Although there is a charge for renting skates in the ice skating rink. There is also a charge for the milkshakes in the Jonny Rockets diner. Royal Caribbean has discontinued most of the charges, for the time being.
NOTE: THERE IS A CHARGE FOR DINNER IN THE ALTERNATIVE RESTURANT "PORTAFINO!!!!!"
