We are sailing on the Monarch May 27. If we dock at 8:30 am, what would be the earliest flight out we could take? We don't want lots of time waiting in the airport, neither do we want to be worried about missing our flight.
Appreciated the advise about hotels in Fort Lauderdale. Had also heard that Holiday Inn Express is nice and has free shuttles.
Just got off the Monarch Apr. 1st after a full Easter cruise. We had a 3:50 flight out of the airport so we took our time getting off the ship when we disembarked, we were probably in the last 20 people getting off, which was about 9:30. We proceeded through customs with no holdups, grabbed our luggage with no problems, since there was hardly any left in the terminal, and grabbed a taxi. We made it to the airport by about 10:00, so a noon flight might be the earliest you would want to book.
