I have just returned from the pre-inaugurale cruise of the brilliance. I must say that the reality is better than the pictures on the www.andreasdepping.de/brilliance
The cabins are verry nice, the bathrooms are small.
The servic we had was great. If you can take a cabin with a balcony.
We stayed in room 9070 wich was verry nice.
We did't have ane negative remarks.
Not on the food nor on the service
Luc, we are booked in 9070 for the transatlantic sailing. Did you have an obstructed view from the balcony? We are so looking forward to this sailing - we loved the pictures and can't believe reality is better than the pictures!! Did the overhang on the balcony cause any problems? Was it shaded because of the overhang? Thanks for any info you can give us.
The view is not obstructed, I don' t know if it is shady or sunny (Amsterdam was cloudy), the hangover is just as larg as the balcony, since the balcony above hase the same size.
There are 2 normal chairs and a small table on the balcony.
The balcony of the 2 first cabins ( 9076 and 9078) are larger and the come out of the ship so have an extra view but you are close to the elevators.
Since it was the pre-inauguration there wesr a lot of party's going on but we didn't hear anything in our cabin.
There are no bathrobes in the cabin. The bathroom is rather small
In the attachment there is a view of your cabin (it is in reverse)
We arrive in Boston on Sunday, September 15. She will then undertake a series of New England/Canada cruises before repositioning to Florida for the winter. You can check the Massport website for the other dates when Brilliance will be sailing from Boston. If you come to the pier on September 15th, we'll be the ones they have to drag off because we won't want to leave.
I'm booked on deck 8 in the middle of the bump out for Jan 24th. Does anyone know if the deck 9 balcony extends further out over the deck 8 balcony. Some pictures that I saw look like the bump out balconys on deck 7 & 8 are the same, but it looks like deck 9 & 10 extend out further over them. I was just wondering if this is true or just an optical illusion in the picture. Also wondering if it is true, if deck 8 balcony will look dark and shaded. Any information would be appreciated.
My husband Al and I will be there. We fly in on the 11th to avoid the red-eye (we are coming from California) and to see a bit of Boston. Neither of us has ever really seen the leaves change, so we're hoping to see some beautiful foliage.
