Default Cabin under dining room - problem?

In looking at the deck plans it looks like our cabin is under the dining room - does this pose a problem - lots of noise? We usually stay up late so I can't imagine it would keep us up but it might wake us up early??? Thanks, Debbie

Have to chuckle when people are concerned about cabin location! Over the years I have stayed in just about every cabin category, from suites to inside cabins. Years ago I booked a last minute inside cabin on the Norway. Heard banging on the pipes and learned my cabin was very close to the engine room and there was a problem. Fortunately I am a sound sleeper so just laughed it off!

Happy Sailing!

Yes, you will hear noise if they have a midnight buffet, but not much. I only heard it on two nights and it was all cleaned up and over with by 2:30 AM.

It also depends on the cruise line. Some are more considerate than others. The worst I ever experienced was on the "Norwegian Sky" when our cabin was directly above a lounge where the speakers were attached to the lounge ceiling (a.k.a. our floor). Thank God for "cruisestateroom.com" and the internet so we can better prepare for these cruises!

Thank you guys.. Hopefully all will be well. I like the location as it is mid ship. The only days we will probably go to bed early are the two days before the port stops of Belize and Cozumel where we will get up early and be off the ship early. Other than that 2:30am is about our bed time! Pizza at 2am before it closes and then bed! Can't wait.. Debbie
