Considering taking the Legend of the Seas to Hawaii and want to book an Aft cabin Category C. Has anyone done this? Which cabin is best? The one in the middle or the far port side or far starboard? Can you see around the sides of the outside balconies, or are they obstructed?
I cruised on her in March of this year and had aft cabin #7132 (center) which is a category "D." I have also had cabin #8080 (category "C," port side) on her sister the "Splendour." I prefer the center for the depth of the balcony and overall view. And yes, there is no real side view due to the configuration of the ship but the balcony is HUGE . We also found the "C" to be too large for the 2 of us AND on deck 8, the "Sun deck" is directly overhead whereas on deck 7 there are cabins both above and below you.
Use "cruisestateroom.com" to examine these options. And having said all that, I would also recommend the "Radiance" instead of the "Legend." We are booked on her in May and I have been on the "Radiance" last October. There is no comparison between the 2 "Windjammers" and 5 stars beats 3.5 stars any day of the week.
LMK if I can answer any other questions via e-mail, Robbie
