American Airlines, Royal Caribbean and the Port of Miami have come to an agreement to start post cruise airline check-in again at the piers. Domestic flights only. You'll be able to once again check in after claiming your luggage and clearing U.S. Customs. Baggage may be checked too and will be taken by truck to MIA. Security cleared drivers will be used. Other airlines are expected to reach similar agreements shortly and Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale will be next in line.
Reinstatement of this service should go a long way toward relieving congestion at MIA for post cruise passengers.
Re: Re: AirLine Check-in at Port of Miami to resume
Would the port check-in be available to anyone disembarking and flying , eg, American Airlines, or is it only available if you booked your air and transfers via RCI? I would very much like to know this, as I have booked my own AA flight, but will not be flying out of Mia until that evening....
