I wish I knew!!! I booked my upcoming March 22, cruise on the Radiance 8 months in advance and am still paying the brochure's listed early-booking price, which happens to be the same price it is going for today..less than 60 days prior.
Hope someone can get you a good Early-booking deal!
Happy cruising :-)
"Early booking" is a tricky starting point for cruise pricing. If I even pay THAT price I feel I have not done a good job in securing a discount. BUT remember the brochures do need reference points so listing retail and the "early booking rate" (usually 6 months and longer prior to the cruise) is a standard procedure. A reputable TA will check the pricing at the time your final payment is due 60-70 days prior to departure) and apply any further discounts that may have occurred. But having said that, there are too many "last minute" bargains out there now that are only applicable on "new bookings."
Recently I have seen the cruise lines offering more incentives to book earlier and I just jumped on one, a "free air" offer. Shipboard credit seems to be popping up more often too (at time of booking).
All this may change again but hope this was helpful, Robbie
