seven mile beach ship excursion costs?

Royal Caribbean offers an excursion to Seven Mile Beach for $18 that includes use of facilities(no pool) and lounge chair at a local hotel.

Since I am in that "over 40 crowd" the idea of a lounge chair for the day is appealing but I am not sure if its worth the $$$$$$

.....................anyone know of any better ideas or found better deals separate from the ship excursion?

We're paying alot more for the Spanish Bay Reef resort all day excursion via RCI--but there are chairs, a pool, snorkeling, lunch & drink included. Thought it would be nice to pass by all the sights & then spend a relaxing day--yes it is costly but hopefully more private Leaving this wknd so I;ll let you know if it was worth it! Can;t wait to leave the snow behind!

How did you find out which resort it was?
I was led to believe from the brochure that there was no pool or lunch.
If that is indeed the case, the $$ seems more reasonable!
