I thought I read they have a water play area for kids, climbing stuff, slides etc, but that it sold out early. Do you need to book this? I couldn't find anything on the RCL excursion website about this. Anybody?
I believe this is covered under the free Adventure Ocean program. Here is some info on the Royal Carribean private islands and kid program ..hope it helps:
Activities on CocoCay and Labadee:
"Voyagers can enjoy Adventure Beach activities on itineraries that call to CocoCay and Labadee. Kids can join the Adventure Ocean staff and participate in Sand Castle Building, Drip Drip Drop, Adventure Family Water Balloon Toss, Beach Relays, Parachute Games and Tug of War."
The waterpark is not free. I think the charge was $10 for an hour. If I remember correctly you could sign up for a time once you get on the ship. I hope this helps!
We just came back from the 4/20 VOS sail. The waterpark at Labadee was great fun for the kids. There's lots of large inflatable pieces in the water to jump on, climb, etc., including trampolines. We did not book in advance, but waited on line a while to then sign up for an hour time slot. If you can reserve in advance, that might be better.
We were there
Hung out on Hide away beach then the kids went to the park and were told there weren't any openings.
So yes if you want to go book early
Wasn't Lunch great

$10 per hour indeed. However, my kids did the park in the afternoon, shortly after 2pm. The crowd was nonexistent then. As a result, they let everyone stay past the 3pm deadline. So maybe if you go later rather than sooner, everyone will have done the water park and your kids might get more bang for the buck. Worth a try maybe.
