Can someone please tell me if Radiance of the Seas left San Diego today for the coast cruise up to Vancouver? I live in San Diego, and if it was here today and I forgot to see it for the third time, I will make sure I go next fall when it comes back!
We just returned from a Mexican Riviera cruise on the Vision of the Seas on Sunday May 18th. We got off the ship around 10:00 AM and left the port area around 11:00 AM. As of 11:00 Am The Vision was the only ship in port, so I doubtr that the Brillance was there as ships usually dock at the port by 7:00 AM. We were in Port on the Vision at 2:30 AM but did not start disembarkation until around 8:00 AM.
I am thinking of the RCI ships in that area now. Vision is doing Mexico, so it is not Vision. Legend sails a trans-pacific itinerary to Vancouver, not San Francisco so it is probably Radiance. The only objection I had was that I thought the promenade deck was too high, but if must only be my imagination. Another way that you can tell is that the smokestack on Vision is not attached to the funnel, so it is certainly not Vision. I have hereby concluded that the vessel is the GTV Radiance of the Seas owned by Royal Caribbean Cruises Limited. If someone knows that it is Legend (the smokestack of Legend is attached to the funnel), please tell me. Also, thank you Donna for that website, I forgot the URL of it.
It is the Radiance. Legend is not coming to San Francisco this year.
BTW Smokestack and funnel are generally the same thing. Legend & Splendour have the stack incorporated with the Viking Crown Lounge [Or vice versa] while the Viking Crown Lounge is seperated from the stack on the rest of the Vision class ships.
Just got in from my cruise on the Raidiance of the seas. Bags are still in car. Yes we were in San Daigo, San Francisco, Astoria, and Victoria. Donna I can finally compare the Raidiance to the Carnival Spirit and Pride. As soon as i get some sleep will try to give my opinion.
