LABADEE..WHAT TO DO?

We have been to "Castaway Cay", Disney's private island and it's always a great day with the beaches set up with chairs, chaises, & hammocks. There's also music in some areas & 2 barbecues..one for adults only on the adults only beach, as well as limited "Disney shopping". There's also a tram that makes a few stops on the island for us lazy folks who can't walk a few blocks after a long day of relaxing...What can we expect in Labadee.

Thanks guys,
MIMI

About the same thing except no "Adults only" areas. Just a good day to be lazy, ride the waverunners or go parasailing. The water there isn't good for snorkling, very few fish to see.

Re: LABADEE..WHAT TO DO?

Labadee is very picturesque with lots of nice beaches to choose from. They also have a beach BBQ with ribs, burgers, salads etc. There are lots of staff around serving drinks and locals to fix your beach chair in a nice location for you. Lots of ship excursions here too including kayaking, waverunners, etc. There are locals who set up shops to display art, trinkets and clothing but beware, one section is VERY pushy and not a lot of fun! It's nice to explore the "island" and hike around a bit. Apparently quite a few people get left at this port each cruise so pay close attention to the times for the tender boats. It is a very slow paced, relaxing port with great photo ops.
