Default Liquor Question

We are planning to carry on a couple bottles of champagne for a pre-cruise
get together in our cabin. Has anyone had any problems carrying a bottle or two
on board in luggage ?? We do not plan to carry the entire liquor store, just a
couple of bottles.

We traveled RCCL on several cruises. We always take some bottles aboard in our luggage. We departed fron PR in 2001 we went to duty free that is almost connected to the ship and purchased plenty of bottles and 2 cases of beer and we were allowed to take them to our cabin without any problems. When we cruised before 911 some purchases were taken and given back at the end of the cruise. The purchases that were taken were our friends and they brought them in Nassau. Someone please help us. We are cruising in August and have the same problem.

They were stopping anyone in Galveston and making them turn over their bottles in their luggage if it showed up on xray . Don't do it in your carry on.

I used to take bottles we bought in Puerto Rico on board, but the last time (2001). This past time they took the bottles from us. I put it in my luggage, but make sure it's wrpped so when they toss your bags you don't have the smell of alcohol all over everything.
