Hi. My husband and I did this excursion in December 2002. We had a blast. The people who ran the boat were very nice. They allowed 45 minutes or longer snorkeling time. If you didn't want to snorkel, there was a small beach nearby. Afterwards, they offer you rum punch and other drinks.

This was our first time snorkeling. We kind of had a hard time with it. We both had problems with our masks. However, the excursion was great and we are going to try snorkeling again next cruise.

I would highly recommend this, BUT I would opt for the SNUBA trip to turtle cove. They are both run by the same company which is fantastic. One of their ships is the dubloon and the other is a catamaran. SNUBA is well worth the extra 35$ plus you get about 30 extra minutes and you will definitely see turtles. Please do SNUBA, you wont regret it!

Thanks for all info!

My husband is the one who snorkels, I do not care for it. So my next question........is it a nice beach?

From what I remember, it was a smaller beach. We were on the Doubloon. Even though we were new to snorkeling and didn't do well at it, we still had a great time. The people who run the boat are extremely nice.
