It's been 5 years since my last RCI cruise and that was before "soda cards." What is RCI doing now? Do they give you a sticker for your onboard ID card? Do they still provide free sodas in the dining rooms/buffets?
Six months ago, we were on a Princess cruise, and I loved those big 32 oz. cups of soda available at the pool. Does RCI have anything like that?
RCI has a soda fountain card that you can purchase from any bartender. It costs $33.00 for adults for a 7 day cruise and it is only good on fountain drinks not canned beverages. There is no free soda anywhere at anytime on the ships. Dining room offers free iced tea, coffee ( not specialty coffees ), lemonade and milk. Same with Windjammer cafe. Check out the Royal Caribbean website for more details. They also have a non-alcoholic adult card that costs $29.95 and gives you 12 free virgin drinks. This card does not cover milkshakes in Johnny Rockets. Canned soda can be purchased for $1.50 per can plus tip of course.
Everytime I see this post it makes me grin thinking of Saturday Night Live with Jim Belushi and Dan Acroyd doing a spoof of "Billy Goat's" in Chicao. The famous line is "Chee-buhguh,Chee-buhguh, Chee-buhguh - no Coke - Pepsi".
