Default Anyone used free parking @ Holiday Inn/Galveston?

The Holiday Inn in Galveston offers free parking for the week if you stay at their hotel for one night. I'm wondering if this is safe or if I should just go ahead and pay for cruise line parking for our rental ca? Thanks so much!

My husband and I went on the Rhapsody with two friends in January. We stayed at an Econo Lodge one night and were able to keep our car there for the week for free. They had a special area for parking when going on a cruise, it was in the front of the hotel so the staff could see the cars. We had no problems when we went, we even had a portable tv with dvd player that we had left in the car. You could always call Holiday Inn and ask them where you park your car and see if they monitor that area daily.
