Default transfers vs taxi

Hi, 1st time cruiser sailing on AOL 10/19/03 out of San Juan. We have 3 nights pre-cruise at Condado Plaza. Question is, would it be better to utilize transfers or take taxi with luggage to ship? I heard if you get to ship around 11:00am you can board early and avoid the long lines. Also heard it may be possible to get a pier upgrade at a good price. I've even heard some horror stories of luggage not making it to ship via transfers. Getting on board early sounds great to us. Seems like taxi would allow us to get to pier earlier as I heard transfer bus doesn't arrive at hotel until later in the afternoon. Anybody had any experiences or suggestions?-Terry

Default Re: transfers vs taxi

There's another post in here on the same topic a few days back. Consensus: take a taxi.
