Default AOS-irons/ironing board?

We are celebrating our 25th anniversary on the AOS Jan. 25th cruise. Our first! The literature in the RCL catalog said there are no irons in the cabins. Does anyone know if they are available or if there is a room on each hall that would have them for public use? It could cost a bit to have all of our clothes pressed.

Thanks, jan

Irons are considered a fire hazard. Irons and ironing boards are not provided.

Hi Jan,
Sorry, like AR says, there are no irons onboard or self service laundry rooms like some ships have, but they do offer a laundry service. I find that by packing my dress's in the plastic cleaner bags helps with the wrinkles, virtually none, so give that a try.

Hi Jan,
Just got back from Explorer of the Seas and what I did is exactly what Donna recommended to you above: use the plastic bags from the cleaners to pack your stuff.

The pressing service is not expensive though but be sure to give them more than time they claim they'll get your clothes back to you on because we had bad experiences with the "turnaround" time from the laundry facilities.

You should be okay, and relax.... everyone else is wearing all wrinkled clothing too! JUST KIDDING! Enjoy your cruise... we had a blast and wish we could do it all over again TOMORROW!!!
