I was reading some live reviews from serenade this week on cruisecritic. The woman writing reviews is constantly complaining about the ship rocking back and forth. Now I haven't taken a cruise in 11 years, but I would think the new technology is such that you should feel very little rocking. What's up with the rocking?
Thats exactly what i was thinking, as I read her reviews on the ship, its brand new, and its not suppose to be that bad is it. She is on Serenade sailing Canada.
I leave on that ship sept. 29 and its got me worried.
Its just possible they were going through some rough seas that caused it to rock, we had no problem like that either on Radiance, but the seas were calm. After all, you are on a ship and if its a little rocky, thats expected if there are waves. We even had an aft balcony cabin and didn't find it unusually rocky at all.
We were on Voyager in Jan and felt no rocking until the day we were in Cozumel, which had extremely high winds. All that day, to and from Cozumel, we felt extreme rocking, so I'm sure Serenade was just experience rough seas like Donna said. You want rocking?......try Galaxy.....that ship rocked like you wouldn't believe, even in calm seas.
I also sailed the Serenade on 9/1, and found her to be sailing very well, although we did not have excellent weather.
Some people refer to the general motion of a ship as rocking.
Happy Cruising, Ginnie
