There are 24 of us from North west Penna. that are going on the Brilliance of the Seas Feb 27, 2004. We have traaveled before and all enjoy the RCCL lines. We enjoy this line more than the other that we have traveled on..
Oh really Tracey! I'll be sure to check cruise critics... Time is flying by incredibly fast...
Did you by any chance go on a Celebrity cruise last Christmas?? Your name rings a bell in this message board.. but u could very well be a different Tracey.
I went on the Brilliance last November and loved the ship. I didn't care for the dining room food on this ship though, I thought the Explorer had better food. The Brilliance menu is good, but the spices they used were kind of strange. The pasta dishes were not very good, I would stick to the meat. Idid send them an email about it. I heard alot of other people commenting on the food also.
The best kept secret on the Brilliance is the Sea View Cafe in the aft of the ship. Great sandwiches, onion rings, ruebens and the service is great. You can sit in or out. It's a nice change from the Windjammer.
I just went on my first Celebrity cruise in May. The food in the dining room was fabulous every night. Definately 5-star. I don't expect RCL to be like Celebrity, but I thought each ship would be consistent.
I would be interested in how you liked the dining room food and the ship. Please post your opinion when you return.
By the way, I just booked Brilliance's sister ship, the new Jewel of the Seas for next December. The dining room food won't stop me from going on their Radiance-class ship.
