Default Travel Insurance

I know that we frequently think of skipping travel insurance on our cruises. Allow me to share a story: Last week, while on the Grandeur of the Sea, this guy who walks two miles/day, whose cholesterol ranges from 150 to 170, had an EKG in July and a Stress Test last spring, suffered a heart attack at sea, three hours out of St. John, NB. Because the ship carried clot-busting medication and the hospital in St. John had a cardiatic facility, I'm able to share this story. On Saturday, the Insurance Company arranged a med-flight back home. Now starts the paperwork. But, because the medical facility on the ship was appropriately staffed and equipped, I'm alive today and quickly resuming normal activities. I'll never cruise without insurance
