Ok i am going on Voyager on Sunday. Problem is PACKING! no room to pack and we are staying 4 extra days in Miami so I need to do laundry on board. Now, I know they do not have the self service laundry (why not??) but has anyone used the laundry service and how much does it cost for say 3 polo type shirts, 2 pair pants, 2 shorts etc. Should I expect to pay through the nose??
aberfolye - I just returned from the Mariner of the Seas and I had two pair of shorts ironed only and it cost $1.25 per pair, which I thought was very reasonable and they did a great job. It will cost you double that price to have the clothes washed and ironed, so $2.50 for a pair of shorts and a dollar or so more for the pants, I think the shirts are about the same cost as the shorts. I think it would be worth it to save room in your suitcase! Hope this helps.
You should be able to get through the cruise and then find a self-serve laundry in Miami after the cruise. We've been on two 7-day Carib. cruises and one 12-day Alaskan cruise/tour and never needed laundry done.
I have a valet service (laundry) charge sheet from Mariner 2 weeks ago. Shirt/t-shirt price is $2.50. Pants (wash) are $3.50 and shorts are $2.50. Press only are 50% of these prices. Same day service, add 50%. Dry cleaning for pants is $4.25.
