Default float mats

Can I bring my own float mat on board ship to be used in the pool and beaches or would this be considered tacky? Never cruised before so I really would like to know. It would be deflated of course until I was ready to use it.

I'd leave the mat at home, have never seen them in the ship's pools.

Yes, indeed, leave it home. The only time I have ever seen that was when the child wanted to use it. However, that didn't usually last very long. And besdies, the pools are smaller in girth than you might think, so there really isn;t any room for them. Good question from someone who has never cruised before.
