I am a very attractive 25-year old and I enjoy showing my amazing body off. Do many girls or guys wear thongs on cruises? I am thinking about taking a Royal Caribbean 7-day from San Juan in Feb.

If most of the people I see around the pool on a cruise ship wore a thong, the captain would be ordering the life boats lowered.

Not that I can talk much, the last time I layed out on the beach, Green Peace came by and tried to push me back into the water.

As far as women wearing them, I say if you got the body go for it!

Don't see it as a problem for the passengers, but make sure they give you a cabin with at least one full length mirror, that may be your biggest problem surviving for 7 days at sea

My last cruise only a handful of women wore thongs...no men. BUT those who did were being pointed at, stared at, etc...which I think was their intention

Samantha, It is absolutely fine with me. Please post the picture and let me be the judge of that. I have alot of experience in this area. As long as you keep yourself trimmed properly and your tanlines are matching your thong it is OK. Please no jigglies or cottage cheese. Are you single? I may need to change my itinerary.

As long as you enjoy showing it off, and if it's worthy of showing off (sounds like it is, but, alas, I'll have to take your word for it...), then I don't see a problem. I have seen problems in which women sunbathed topless and then complained about the attention they were drawing. There's a certain amount of exhibitionism and voyeurism anytime you have attractive people scantily clad. It's only a problem when the exhibitionists don't want people looking at them and take offense. You don't sound like that kind of woman. Hurray for you.

Oh, and if you need help getting your sunscreen on any hard to reach places I spent 10 years as a Panama Jack Tanning consultant at many fine resorts around Florida and have alot of experience with that too.
