Default Transportation to docks

We will be cruising out of Miami. Has anyone ever flown into Ft. Lauderdale rather than Miami? Was it a lot cheaper to fly into Ft Lauderdale?
If you did, how did you get to Port of Miami? Cab? Bus? How much did it cost?
We will be traveling with 15 people, so even if we save only a little per person, it adds up to a lot!!

We used Tri-county to get from FLL to the Miami port but there were only 2 of us. Their website is www.floridalimo.com. You may want to contact them to see what they can do for your group. I hope this helps!

Have sailed out of Miami alot and always fly into Fort Lauderdale due to less expensive. We have taken taxi and that was ok but the transfer on the cruise line bus is the best deal and then if they break down the ship will wait for you. We will always take the cruise line transfer from now on. Save the difference for drinks on board or something else.

OK-I'm really new at this. What does cruise line transfer mean? Is that a bus? Can you take a bus from Ft. Lauderdale to Miami instead of a taxi?

You can purchase transfers through the cruise line to get from the airport to the pier and back. Yes, they are buses and unless the price has changed it is $15/person each way. They are reliable but they will wait until the bus is full before they head out so they are not always the fastest way to get back and forth. Whoever you booked your cruise with should be able to get transfers for you. I hope this helps!
