I'm on the Majesty of the Seas starting February 23. We get back into Miami port Friday morning. I have a 11:30 AM flight out of Fort Lauderdale. Supposed to be in a 9AM. I have a limo reserved. Will I have enough time to disembark and get to the airport? It's going to cost $200 to change the flight.
Phew that's going to be tight. Suites and the other most expensive cabin categories usually get called first, so if you have that kind of cabin you just might make it. There are usually delays with clearing customs etc., I think non-US citizens have to do some paperwork or obtain clearance before anyone can leave the ship and in my experience there are always some delays with that. By the time you get off and find your luggage etc. it's usally somewhere between 10 and 11 am. Shorter than 7-day cruises seem to go a little faster. But that's just my experience.
Very tight--we didn't even take that chance from Port Everglades to FLL airport & are staying over an extra day to avoid the rush--The cruise line would not guarantee we would make any flight before noon. I have also heard comments on this board that FLL has been slower than in ther past, so one can just imagine what that will be like--Just my opinion....what does your TA say, have you asked the cruieline????
