Has anyone did the ship's excursion of Cave Tubing in Belize? I was concern about getting back to the ship on time. Any experience, please let me know.
Re: Explorer of the Seas-Cave Tubing Excursion-Belize
It was canceled due to flooding when I was there last week.
I did notice that it's a 45-minute walk [according to the video shown in the cabin] - while hauling your tube to the starting point!
Also they suggested wearing footwear that can get muddy!
All the excursions are planned so you get back in time.
Our ship left Belize at 6 p.m. and some excursions started at 8:30 a.m.

We were there last week and got to do the last tour before it was cancelled. Very fast moving river, guides were yelling at everyone and a few people needed to be rescued that lost thier tubes or got stuck in the undergrowth of the banks.

Consider using Reggie's Tours in Belize. We had them last week for a Mayan ruin tour, and they were great. They also do the cave tubing but, as earlier post said, it was cancelled. We learned of them from the message board and found them to be excellent.
Web site is http://www.regtour.com/ and you'll find mention of it on many postings.

We used X-Stream Cave tubing, they are excellent.
We got back to the port terminal about 1-1/2 hours before we had to get back on the ship.
We had 12 people in our group only, X-Stream had will take only 14 maximum, unlike the ship excursion that had at least 150 people lined up when we got to the park area.
We got to do an extra cave system further up the river then the groups saw and then we met up with the other people. Its a wonderful excursion that must be experienced at least once!
