We leave in 3 weeks on Brillance of the Sea with ports of call in Grand Cayman, Aruba, Costa Rica and Panama. We've been on RCL's Grandeur and Explorer. Please comment on Brillance of the Sea and also what you would and want not do again if you visited these ports again. My husband and I are very active and in our mid-50's.
Any other suggestions would be really appreciated since we've never been to any of these locations.
Please post your trip comments about your time on the Brilliance and any excursions you took when you return. We will be going on this cruise in 14 mos. Thanks. Awaiting your reply.
We took the 12 day Thanksgiving cruise on the Brilliance and it was wonderful. Although the rooms seem a little smaller and you don't have that open feeling of the Explorer's mall, the ship is very elegant and the entertainment was fantastic.
Do make time to attend the Quest game in the lounge. It's an adult treasure hunt and it's very funny.
The combination reef and rays snorkeling trip in Cayman is a lot of fun. We're going there next week on the Explorer and we can't wait to do it again.
The river ride and Rain Forest tram ride was very nice. You get to see a lot of scenery.
We didn't do the railroad trip in Panama but a lot of people commented that it was very enjoyable. It's also interesting to see the ship go through the locks from the viewing stand.
You'll love Brilliance, I second Davyb, especially about the Schooner bar, they pipe in Jazz music, very relaxing. Please tell Aileen, Sammy, Eric, Darren and Suljin (Schooner Bar) that Mark and Robin says Hi. They'll treat you great regardless. I will be posting my review within the next 2 weeks.
