My other half and I are thinking about doing one of the 8 night cruises around the Caribbean before the school holidays kick in, however even tho I know cruises are not the blue-rinse brigade territory they once were I was just wondering if anyone else out there (aged 26-28) has been on a cruise as a couple? Did they meet other people their own age? Were they bored?
HR: Although I am not in your age group, I'm sure you will have a wonderful time and will meet others your age. We recently sailed on Voyager of the Seas and there seemed to be many in your age group.

Thanks, I have been on a RCI cruise before on Explorer of the Seas, I was in a group of friends tho and we did have a fun time but I have to admit I didn't see many other people our age range around (24-28). Which ship would you reckon would be best for our situation?
I'm no expert, but I have noticed that different times of year tends to draw certain ages more. Ex: we did a cruise in Dec. just before the Christmas holiday week and it was alot of older people...which makes sense ...alot of younger people aren't interested in cruising when all the Christmas parties and celebreations are. I think a good experienced Travel Agent would help you be able to sort out which cruise ship, which itenerary, and which time of year would attract the most people of your age group.
I am about to go on my 4th cruise on May 2nd on the Mariner of the Seas for my honeymoon. Yay! I have gone on Carnival twice, Norwegian once and now trying Royal Caribbean because Carnival will never get another dime of mine, long story, just say no to Carnival. Anyway, I am 30 and have always found that we met people our age and had lots of fun. You will too, just get out there and make some fun for yourselves. People who don't have fun on cruises, must not leave their cabins.
