Default No Luggage Tags!! HELP!

We leave in 9 days for our cruise and I upgraded our cabin assignment yesterday so the luggage tags I have are not correct. The travel agent (idiot) told me to try and write the new cabin number on my old tags. This will not work and also the tags are color coded.. I know the luggage attendants only go by color and not by what is scribbled onn the tags.
DO they have blank color coded tags at the pier? I do not want to loose my luggage. Thanks so much..Carla

If you are taking a shuttle to the pier from the airport, they will have tags there for you at the airport. It may be best to go ahead and go by there anyway (follow the ladies in the RCI uniforms to the check in desk). Not sure if they have some at the pier.

Yes, they have them at the pier. People that are receiving the new Edocs do not receive luggage tags at all until they get to the pier. You should not have any problem. I hope this helps!

I even put masking tape over my old cabin number and wrote in the new one with black marker and they got to my cabin before dinner as usual.

I don't think your TA is an idiot at all for suggesting that. I've suggested the same thing many times when the tags are incorrect, just in case the new tags don't get on the bags at the pier. At least it has your name and cabin number on it, so it can match the ship's Manifest.

We also received a different cabin, but did not think to change luggage tags --

We got blank tags at the pier from a porter , who had to look up a code , new room number wasnt sufficient. The code helps sort luggage , and im sure this is why we received ours so timely.

To speed things, at least put your name and new cabin number on the luggage -- but ask a porter before you take off -- you may need to add a color code ( this was on Mariner) that will speed the sorting process.

The porter we talked to was very helpful, and since we had 3 cabins we had to look up each cabin, and redo tags for 8 people --

Don't worry. When you unload your luggage at the port just tell the luggage man your new cabin number. They have special tags! We just did this 2 weeks ago on the Explorer. Have fun!
