Default When is formal night?

We are going on the Dec 19th Explorer of the Seas cruise, Western Carribean, this year. When will the formal night(s)likely be held?

We heard that there are two formal nights out of the seven. We are planning on going all out formal for one, and semi-formal for the other. Do they schedule these festive evenings on days at sea, rather than when in port, so everyone can enjoy them without rushing through their port time to get back and dressed? We are the early dinner seating because we have young teens with us.

They are almost always scheduled for the at sea days, especially on a 7 day cruise!
Have a blast!

Hi Electra or anyone for that matter - do u know if there are 2 formal nites on a 7 day cruise if there is only 1 day at sea? On Sept 11 cruise out of Boston on Jewel we only have 1 and the other eves all are back onboard around dinnertime - guess there will be 1 semi (or informal) nite also right? My TA doesn't know and can't seem to get a reply from RCCL except the standard 2 formal nites apply. If this is correct what nite wld the second formal nite be? Thanks for the reply & happy cruisin'!

Typically, formal nights are on the second (most formal) and sixth (less formal) nights for 7-night cruises. This is one reason why I always do late dining, so I don't have to rush back from port to get glammed up. They try to do at-sea days, but, depending on the itinerary, this is not always possible.
