tipping on rccl
last year we cruised on carnival and the suggested tipping amount was charged to our sign & sail card at the beginning of the trip. Do they do this on Royal Carribean also? We found this arrangement very convient.

Hi Atinwhite,
No, they don't automatically do that on Royal Caribbean, but if you visit the desk relation people, you can set it up that way. Otherwise its the cash and enevlopes the last nite. We find if we set aside all the tip money before we even leave home and once onboard, just put it in our cabin save, then we're all set, no need to change bills, etc. Just a thought??

What ship will you be on and when?

we are going on the empress of the seas on 8/1. We are a family with three teens and we all loved cruising. we liked carnival but we were enticed this yoear at the idea of cruising out of Port Liberty new Jersey. This would involve no flying and be just as close for us as driving to the airport.

I like adding it to my charge account so I can get the "rewards" points BUT I always pay my full balance on my cards so no interest accrues on something like this. Just my two pennies!
