We went on Explorer on 5/10/03, last year, and it was in great shape. Have been on 4 cruises, and this one was my favorite. You should have a wonderful time. The Royal Promenade is absolutely stunning! We had an inside cabin, near the back of the ship on deck 9. Rooms were absoultely marvelous!

Hi Bxone,
I can't say about Explorer, we were on her a few years ago, but were recently on Voyager, which is an even older ship and I must say I was suprised at how good the ship looked. Royal Caribbean does a great job with keeping the ships in ship shape condition, so I wouldn't worry about that.

Royal Caribbean keeps their ships in great shape.

Going on the Explorer this Sat, May 1, will let you know if she has changed since I first went in 2002.

They are refurbishing these ships in every port .. been on the Explorer twice and the decorations are upgraded when you are in port .. and sometimes you see them changing the carpets .. do not fear,, she will enjoy the cruise and all will be new and polished ..

enjoy!
