Default soiled life jackets

We just returned from a Mexican Rivera cruise on the Ryadam ship. My concern is that one must wear a life jacket for the Life Boat Drill. This we have no objection to, but our life jackets were very soiled, dirty, and had an accumulation of odor, especialy around the necks from past passengers who had worn them. Is there a way to have life jackets cleaned between drills.?

You should probably be posting this on the Holland America board.
