Shipboard Credit

I saw the rates dropped on our cruise today, called my TA and had her check into ship credit for us. She told me since we paid in full and since we sail in less than 2 weeks we are out of luck.Has anybody else tried for a shipboard credit and got it.Thanks a bunch.(Majesty Of The Sea May 10th) Can i call Royal Caribbean myself.

Sound true or a bunch of baloney?
