Default Port Everglades parking

Has anyone parked at Port Everglades while they cruised? We have a mini-van. Will a cartop carrier on it fit into the garage? Do you drop off your luggage and have someone wait with it while the other parks the van?

I've used Port Everglades before. I don't know about the cartop carrier. That might be tight. Definitely don't forget to check the height before you go in. The daily charge is a steep $12/day to park. You will be able to drive to the terminal to dump your bags with the handlers and then park your van.

I think you shouldn't have a problem parking, because they also have an area for lover sized vehicles. $12. a day for parking, but i think it is $15. a day for the over sized vheicles. There is a couple of different parking garages depending on where your ship is berthed, but they have shuttle busses going and coming that are free. Here is the web site for the port.

You mean you can stay at the raddison and park all week for free while you are on the cruise for one night at the hotel?

That would be a deal.

There are hotels in FLL that do have a "spend the night and park for a week" with free shuttle service. I think La Quinta was one and maybe even Holiday Inn Express. It was the major chains, and they would need to be close to the Port, so with a little research it may not be too hard to find.
