I dont think you can do it until after boarding. Then you have several options: go directly to the restaurant and book it, use the phone in your room, or do it right on the tv. Either way, do it soon after boarding to get the night and time you want. We waited and when we finally called we were like 300 on the waiting list for Portofinos. However, we lucked out the next day they called and said someone had cancelled do we want it. Heck yes! Turned out it was the first seating on a port night, so there is hope! We were the only ones in the place for about 30 min too. Kind of weird, but kind of nice too-felt like dh rented the place for the night!

Hi alison 1170 - I wld kind of wonder too what happened to all the reservations if the place was empty for that 30 minutes. Maybe there really weren't that many bookings but they did it to 'drum' up business - u know - if someone else wants it u do too routine? Glad u did get in though - am presuming it was the 5:30 or 6:00 (whenever it opens) slot cause that likely wld be the least popular time? Are u able to book days in advance and at both places and most importantly if u had a nite u prefer what wld it be - maybe a theme nite in the regular dining room? Thanks for taking the time to answer. :0)
