This may seem like a stupid questions, but we will be 1st time cruising Mariner in 3 weeks. Where do you keep the Sea Pass? Does it have a strap around it to wear around your neck? Do you have to keep it in your pocket all the time?
I'm wondering about my children, 8 and 12. They will have their own Sea Pass, but I'm concerned about them keeping track of it? Any suggestions?
I assume this pass is also used as your door key? Yes? No? Please enlighted this poor first time cruiser.
Yes, You will need your sea pass at all times.I bought a little holder that has a strap to put around your neck worked great.I bought mine at walmart.Just look for something big enough for a credit card.
I always bring a one hole punch from a stationary store and a lanyard and wear it around my neck........I can put it under my shirt while on shore and even have worn it while swimming.....I hook it to my beach bag or purse strap so it's always easy to pull out to buy a beverage or to get in my cabin without having to dig around in the bottom of my bag..........
The logo store sells a lanyard that has a clip on it so you can get your sea pass on and off very quickly. It attaches to the lanyard on an "O" ring, so it is hard to remove. For this reason we asked the guest relations desk to punch an additional hole at the end of her's so she could use it while still attached to the "O" ring. The little lanyard clip makes it very easy to use it and replace it.
But if they are deactivated, they will not be able to purchase anything onboard by themselves. I am 15 and have been on 2 cruises with RCI and my parents trust me enough to leave mine activated. I just keep it in my purse in my wallet.
