Woody, We just did the same thing. We used Florida limo from FLL to Miami port. There were 4 of us and it was $55 plus tip this was in a Towncar. On the return we did not see any town cars and were told by someone that ran a van servce you could only leave by Van or taxi if not pre arranged, and that he charged $15 per person and that a taxi would be $70 so we agreed and followed this guy to the far end of the pier to the right loaded the van with all our luggage!! sat down and he said $80 right? We said no way the other guy said $15 pp which would be $60 so he got out engine running and went back to talk to his boss. There was a cab van behind us so my husband went and asked him how much and he said $50 we we got out unloaded our luggage and went in the taxi. We did see the driver look a bit surprised on his way back that we were gone. I'm not sure why this cab only charge us $50 but he was on the far right side of the pier if the ship is behing you and maybe thats why.

There'sa website I learned abt on this bd --www.floridalimo.com & you can call them. there are several options. We are going to do the shuttle to the hotel night before & then do the cruiseline transers on the way home.

We did the same thing and used Top Shuttle. Their web site is www.topshuttle.com. All rates are listed there. They were on time and worked out great !

We flew in the day before and rented a car. If you get in early enough, there is a Thrify office at the Hyatt Downtown Miami. I think they close at 6pm.

We stopped at a Walmart on the way to get our sodas and water before dropping off the car.

No drop off charge for renting from FLL and dropping it off in downtown Miami.
