Going on VOS 12/18/04. Flying into Miami 2 nights before the cruise. Can anyone recommend a nice reasonably priced hotel to stay at that is safe? Someone told me that it's not real safe to stay near the cruise port. I don't know the areas in Miami that are safe or not. Also, any suggestions what to do in Mimai prior to the cruise. Thanks.
The conventional wisdom is to use Priceline.com to book a room in Miami. I did like so many others and bid $38 for a 3 star hotel downtown and was confirmed at the Miami Hyatt Regency which is actually a four star hotel. FOR ONLY $38. You can't beat that. Hope this helps.
