Default HELP with Majesty of the Seas

I will be cruising first time with RCC, weekend cruise from Miami to Bahamas and Cococay. Any suggestions and/or tips welcomed. Have several questions:

1. Can I carry-on my luggage straight to my cabin when I board and the same when I disembark? What is the procedure?

2. I have heard that Cococay gets very crowded... any suggestions.

3. Any overall suggestions for Bahamas.

4. What kind of entertainment do they have? Any a must? Games?

Thanks in advance........

Hi Ana,
When you first arrive at the pier, you'll hand over your luggage to the porters there, they will bring your luggage onboard. Just keep any carry-on with you. Also, give the porters a few dollars per suitcase as a tip.

Coco Cay is a great beach day, get there early and enjoy the BBQ lunch, snorkeling, etc.

We loved taking the Atlantis tour, you may want to consider that.

Ana

Cococay was a lot of fun. My daughter and husband went parasailing there and loved it. The rest of the kids and I hung out on the beach and snorkeled. Everyone had a great time there and would have been more than happy to spend an extra day there.

You don't say where in the Bahamas you're going. We went to Nassau. Got off the ship and did some shopping and then went over to Paradise Island. We walked through Atlantis which was amazing. I was sorry we didn't elect to take the tour there. We used the beach just right down from Atlantis. Rented jetskis right off the beach. In the afternoon we did the dolphin swim which was the best thing we did the whole trip. We went two years ago and the kids are still talking about it and watching the video.

Hope this helps and happy cruising.

Darcy

If you can fit everything into bags that will fit through the xray machine then you can carry them on with you. Not something I would want to do but it can be done. I hope this helps!

Ana,

My husband and I did this for our honeymoon in 2002 on the Magesty. We had a blast in the Karioki Lounge each night. In Nassau, we went to the Atlantis. They have a marine exhibit which was wonderful. The hotel there is beautiful, almost like a castle. Very exspensive though to eat. We did our meals on the boat. We went to town and to the straw market. That part was very run down, in my opinion. have fun!

I hope this isn't a stupid newbie question, but when you go snorkeling is it part of an excursion or just something you do on your own? Do you rent equipment or do you bring your own? Cost of renting? If you bring your own, are we talking stuff you buy at Toys R Us or from a scuba shop?

Thank you,
Maggie

You can rent/ do the excursion or if you want to bring your own, which I would get something from a sports shop, there is great snorkeling @ Coco Cay

Hi Maggie,
No questions here are stupid, as for snorkeling, you can do it either way, go out on your own to a snorkel place and either rent the equipment or bring your own. Any snorkeling excursion will supply the equipment and a life vest to wear. You can choose to go on the excursions and use their equipment or your own if you bring it..
