Default Any advantages with Junior Suite

I'ms sailing Navigator of the seas in September (18.) and it will be my first cruise.
Our stateroom is ja Junior Suite on deck 10. I want to know whether we have prioritys with this cabin (for example at the check-in and so on...)

Are we allowed to use the concierge service and the club??

Priority boarding and extra space - that's about it. You will not be entitled to use the concierge service. Oh, yes - you get a tub in the bathroom also (but not a stall shower which I really prefer).

The Balcony is bigger than on a lower cat.

Besides priority boarding, its just a larger room overall. (larger room, larger balcony, a tub instead of just a shower (a nice deep tub...I love deep tubs! ), and a walk in closet. ) I really enjoyed my junior suite. So much so that I've booked another for my next cruise. Its like they say about booking a balcony. Once you stay in a balcony, you will always want a balcony. I'm afraid its happening the same way with the junior suite.

Laurie, I keep meaning to ask you. Do you live in S. California? The reason I ask is that we have been on 5 of the ships you have been on. All from Los Angeles.

Do the suites that have tubs in the bathroom also have a shower in them or is it just a bathtub?

Laurie, we live in Yucca Valley, just north of Palm Springs. We did the Monarch last December in a JS. nice ship, good food, we are going again Nov. 15.

Cruiseguy....

My brother lives in Yucca Valley. Well he did until a couple weeks ago. Now he's in an assisted living type home because he has a lot of medical problems.

As you can see from my countdown, we are doing the Monarch in Feb. What my signature doesn't say is that I've gotten a group together for that cruise. As of right now I've got 20 family and friends that have already made their deposit and I'm expecting that number to go up to at least 35. It should be so much fun! The problem is, I've never booked a 3 day cruise this far ahead. Its gonna be a killer to wait all this time.

I am a big RCCL fan, so I have no doubt that the Monarch (especially the junior suite) will be great. We went on the Adventure of the Seas, last month and that was my first time in a suite of any sort. We're hooked!...

Small world isn't it. The JS's on the monarch are a little smaller then the AOS but there still great. The food court is about the best we have experienced on any ship. RCCl is our cruiseline of choice now. Our Nov. trip raises us to Diamond status, great perks. How many RCCL cruises have you been on? Are you a C&A member?

Really? On Voyager, there was only a tub/shower combo in the JR suite - no separate shower stall. The larger suites do have separate stall showers as well as a tub.

Cruiseguy....

Technically, I've been on 5 actual RCCL ships/cruises. Before my last cruise, I was only at 4. But...I found out that 2 ships/cruiselines (Western Cruiselines/Azure Seas and Admiral Cruiseline/Stardancer) were eventually bought out by RCCL so, after much discussion and convincing, they let me qualify those as RCCL cruises. That brought me up to 6 and into Platinium status before my last cruise. After my last cruise, I'm now at 7 cruises, but another technicality...I was told that for a limited time, a junior suite would be counted as 2 points rather than 1. So that would bring me up to 8 cruises. Which means my cruise in February will put me at 9. Wooowhoo!!!..then only one more til Diamond Status!! :-)

If I remember correctly I showed them that Azure Seas (or Western Cruise Line...can't remember now what my theory was...lol) was bought out by another company, that was then bought out by RCCL...or something like that....lol I ended up having to talk to a supervisor at at Crown & Anchor, but it worked! I guess I was either convincing enough, or they wanted to get me off the phone....

Laurie, thanks for the info on the Azure Seas. We sailed her in 1986. I just called C&A and read your post to them and they upgraded us to Diamond status on the spot. We are getting a $50.00 rebate and Diamond perks. Thanks alot.

We were in a junior suite on the Monarch for our first cruise this past June. It was a perfect way to celebrate my 50th b'day. I thought everything was perfect, and for four days we forgot about the "real" world and loved being spoiled (and eating until I thought I was going to EXPLODE!)

I've just booked cruise #2 -- Serenade of the Seas to Alaska next June. Can't quite manage a jr. suite again, but we do have a D1 balcony cabin, which is the next category down from a J.S. Somehow I think it will be just perfect!

Another Laurie M. from Southern California!
