My husband and I will be in Curacao in a few weeks and was wondering what to do while there. We will be in port most of the day and would like to do something on our own instead of booking an excursion through the ship. Any suggestions?
We were there last week on the Adventure of the Seas. We walked to town and did some quick shopping and then took a taxi to the Aquarium. There is a very nice beach right next to the Aquarium that just costs a few bucks. On the taxi ride, we passed the local market. I wish that we would have had time to tour this area, it looked interesting.

Hi Taur,
We once did a snorkeling excursion in Curacao and were suprised as how good it was, have fun! Its also a nice town to walk around and shop and sight see, the locals are very nice and don't bother you or try to sell things.
We sat by the canal in an open-air cafe and drank Amstal Brights (Carib version of Amstal Light) and watched the floating bridge open and close for ships.
We will also be in Curacao in October on our cruise and are doing a Trolley Excursion with RCCL. It will take us all around the town. Looked very beautiful and relaxing.
