Mariner 8/22, honeymoon and first time

Hi there. We are leaving on 8/22 for our honeymoon on the Mariner. This is our first cruise. Everyone has said that RC is a great line. Can anyone give us any general reccommendations regarding first-timers? Also, we were told that we would be recognized at the first formal dinner. What exactly does that mean? Thanks for your time!!!

We will be on the Mariner 8/22 too! You should have a great time! We went on the Voyager 3 years ago which was our first cruise and literally had the time of our lives! It was our 13th Anniversary. This time we are cruising with our sons, ages 12 and 15. We had an atrium cabin last time but splurged for a balcony cabin for this one. All I can say is that if this ship is like the Voyager, which it is, it will take your breath away. Everyone was sooo nice and helpful and there is just sooo much to do. As far as recognizing you, I'm not sure about that unless your travel agent put down that you were on your honeymoon, then most likely you will receive a small cake at dinner to celebrate. I am just hoping for no more tropical storms or hurricanes! Just sunshine and the beach!
