We're flying into Ft. Lauderdale but sailing out of Miami. For our inbound connection, we're renting an SUV (from Alamo) since we're coming in the day before sailing - much cheaper than a shuttle. They have a free shuttle back to the cruise ship pier after dropping off the vehicle the day we sail. Outbound we're going to take a shuttle (not sure which one yet), because the ship gets in port around 8:30 a.m. in Miami and our flight leaves at 1:10 p.m. from Fort Lauderdale so I don't want to take any chances. There are several shuttle services to choose from all around the same price - supershuttle, floridalimo are a couple that come to mind.
We were on the Majesty in March. I rented a limo to bring us from Port of Miami to Fort Lauderdale airport because I had an 11:30 AM flight. I think it cost about $80 with the tip. Because of our early flight I wanted to make sure someone was there to get me to the airport on time. Worked out great because I told them to pick us up at 9 AM. They were there and in the airport by 9:30 AM. More expensive then a shuttle, but it was nice to end the cruise by riding in a limo.
Had a bad experience with the super shuttle awhile ago on our last tripout ot of Miami--will use ships transfers back to FLL. On day ahead will take whatever the shuttle is at the airport to our Miami Hotel.
