Orlando

We will be staying in Orlando the night before our cruise out of Port Canaveral and I'm looking at Amerisuites by the airport. The only problem is we really enjoy good restaurants and I'm interested in VInes, The Butcher Shop, etc which seem to be a good distance away from the airport. Having never been to Orlando, any suggestions for a hotel (moderate) and nice restaurant to sample the flavor of the city?? Thanks in advance!

How do you plan on getting to the pier and how much is it going to cost ? Just wondering because we also will be leaving from port canaveral and are looking for a place to stay.

I've been advised by several posts to use Art's Shuttle and I have booked that. Artsshuttle.com although there are several more on any of the Orlando transporattion sites
