Default Transfers to Hotel/Cruise Ship Pier

Four of us are booked on a RCI cruise on January 30, 2005 and will be flying into Miami on January 29th. Can anyone recommend where we should stay that night. We would like a reasonably priced hotel that would be able to have a shuttle from the airport to the hotel and then a shuttle to the cruise departure point for RCI?

My brother and family are flying into Ft. Lauderdale and will need to arrange a transfer from the airport to their hotel and then a few days later to the Miami cruise pier. Does anyone know a good, reasonably priced transportation line that offers this service?

Does RCI have any affliation with a hotel that would offer a good price?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hello Kathy....All of your questions and concerns can be taken care of by RCCL without you having to do anything else.

When you booked your cruise with RCCL you should have been able and offered to:

1...Choose a hotel that RCCL has on their priority list, and stay there prior to your cruise
2...If you choose a hotel through RCCL, they automatically include transfers from the
airport to the hotel, hotel to the pier on cruise day, then transfer at the end of the
cruise back from the ship to airport.
3...Even if you book your own hotel, you can still purchase transfers from airport to
hotel, hotel to pier, then pier back to airport.
4...RCCL also will transport your brother from FT. Lauderdale to Miami if they purchase
the transfers from that airport to Miami.

Your travel agent should have explained these things to you, or if you booked on your own, RCCL should have mentioned this to you. It is still not to late to do all of this through RCCL. It is sure a lot easier since they do this everyday. You might want to give them a call and explain what you want to do and they can help you out, or if you are using a travel agent, mention it and he or she should have no trouble getting this done for you.

Hope this helps a bit.

Dave

Isn't it easier and cheaper to just get a taxi right out of the airport to bring you to the port. That's what I'm doing. I didn't book any transfers....and I always booked my own air. Found it cheaper (air) then booking with RCI and it will be direct.
