Default Upgrading

What are the chances of upgrading from a JS. to a Grand S. if the grand is available......do you have to wait until you get to the pier and at the register deck when checking in ....is this where and when you inquire....Also, do they charge you the difference or is the upgrade free. I've been told that they would charge you 10% difference is it is available or no charge at all. Does anyone know.

I don't know, but wondering the same thing. We are sailing on AOS on 10/24 and unfortunately are cabin is an inside one. I called yesterday and they had 1 balcony, but it was $500 more. Hopefully, someone will have this info.

When are you sailing?

RCCL has a price "schedule" for upgrading at the pier assuming an upgrade is available. Check their website. It is per cabin rather than per person and considerably cheaper than booking in advance. Of course, you have to take your chances that an upgrade would be available at that time. You can check a day or so before you sail to see what cabins are still available and maybe you will be lucky enough to upgrade to one of them.
